The group
existed at All Saints from the early days of Scouting until it was closed in
the early 1970s due to the lack of leaders.
Indeed ten new troops were formed in North West Kent during 1910 and they included one at Holy Trinity, 3rd Gravesend, 1st Northfleet and a troop known as 1st Perry Street ~ which is now the 4th Gravesend!
In
September 1988, under the guidance of Rev. John Batson, the Group was
reformed by opening a Cub Scout Pack. This was followed by a Beaver Colony
in April 1990 and a year later with the Scout Troop.
